The department of chemistry has admitted its first students in 2008. The department hosts around 24 undergraduate students, 25 graduate students, and 9 academics along with 5 research assistants. All branches of chemistry are well represented in the department, including Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. The Department of chemistry, aims to train students according to international standards to assist them to be an independent scientist, providing both an undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.
